Economic Diplomacy refers to the foreign exchanges and activities conducted for realizing economic goals and serving economic benefits, OR, for realizing and sticking up for national strategic purposes by or relying on economic means. After the end of the Cold War, China's economic diplomacy has made a great achievement. In particular, China's economic diplomacy has had a great impact on the aspect of the international trade. However, China's economic diplomacy is still in the starting phase, and we need to do more to improve it.This article takes China's economic diplomacy as the research object, and focuses on the angle of the international trade. First, discussed the basic concept of the economic diplomacy; second, introduced the three-phase development of China's economic diplomacy in the post-Cold War period; Third, elaborated the concrete impact of China's economic diplomacy upon the international trade after the Cold War; forth, thoroughly analyzed the inevitability and indispensability of the economic diplomacy's impact on the international trade, from the aspect of the theoretic roots, the international tide and the status quo of China; finally, proposed the relevant measures to strengthen China's economic diplomacy.
