PS company, a former state enterprise, is now a joint-stock company. Its main service is the purification and supply of water to urban areas. Many of the workers are very experienced as they have been with the company since it was founded by the state. After the company was released by the state, it was extensively remodeled to improve the efficiency and effectiveness, and the results were evident with initial improvements. However, problems left from the former state enterprise remained. For example, there were surplus workers resulting in less than optimum efficiency, poor work ethic and low morale. With the hope of developing the business, ways of encouraging workers to increase productivity became an important aim of the PS company. This report aims to analyse and evaluate the current strategies undertaken by the company to solve its work ethic and morale problems, and suggest the most effective methods for future implementation. The method will prioritise improving worker relations, creativity, execution of instructions enabling the company and its workforce to act in harmony.Firstly the relevant material was collected. It was investigated to give an idea of PS company's current situation in regards to workforce ethic and morale. The businesses' history and background, and how the problems were expressed were analysed. By using questionnaires and interviews, the workforce's demands and aims were pointed out, helping to clarify their needs enabling the most appropriate solutions to be applied. Also the organizations aims, design and structure were studied so that the most effective direction of the encouragement strategy could be found.Next, based on the data collected together with PS companies history and current situation, the motivation literature was consulted and a new motivation strategy was formulated. Implementation has begun in several sectors of the business and improvements are already beginning to be seen.In conclusion, the restructuring of human resource motivation strategy should be tailored to the workforce. Morale can be improved by listening and fulfilling the workforce's needs that can be readily done so. A bonus system and examination policies should be applied to the different levels of workforce accordingly, so as to effectively improve the workforce productivity and enthusiasm, and to give worker satisfaction. Then the company will experience greater growth and competitiveness. Finally in my opinion, the restructuring of PS companies motivational strategy is not a static course. People's demands change with the development of society, economy, knowledge, experience etc. Even a sudden experience might change a person so demand is in constant flux. The aim of the organization is also dynamic, so this decides that the organization of the motivation also needs to be adjusted accordingly. Meanwhile a motivation strategy is not only for improving working environment, income and job designation and current exam system. More importantly is learning the most advanced motivational knowledge, and integrating human resource literature with business management and execution. Try to change the old antiquated management system gradually building up a modern management system that fits with modern society cohesively.
