The Soviet Union In The Manufacturing Competitiveness To Enhance Research

With the development of the economic globalization and the gradual improvement of China's socialist market economy system,regional economic competitiveness focuses on the industrial competitiveness which is becoming the major factor for the regional economic growth. China, on the whole, is still in amidst of industrialization, and manufacturing industry is still the leading industry in the current regional economy. Competitiveness among manufacturing industries to a large extent determines regional integrated economic strength and people's living standard.Since the policy of the opening-up and reform Mid-Jiangsu sees the great development of manufacturing industry,which plays a vitally important role of economic development. There exists the tendency to bridge the gap between Mid-Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu,and to enlarge the gap between Mid-Jiangsu and southern Jiangsu due to the geographical location,resources,history and national policy. Therefore,it is important to understand the status of Mid-Jiangsu's manufacturing industry in Jiangsu province,and then to put forward the proposal to promote the improvement of competitiveness of manufacturing industry in the Mid-Jiangsu,which can account for regional economic growth, the bridging of the gap of regional economic development,and the promotion of the sound and well-balanced development of regional economy. Also it has great significance for quickening the step to build a well-off society and the realization of the"Two Advances".This thesis is trying to regard the manufacturing industry as the research subject of the economy in the three municipal city of the area in the Mid-Jiangsu: Yangzhou, Taizhou,and Nantong,using the methodology of application of the theory into practice, the positivism analysis and the close explication of the issue in definite statistics. The positivism analysis mainly comprises the methodologies of shift-share analysis and the factors analysis. The process of analysis can be divided into two steps. The first step is to analyze the competitive advantage of the manufacturing industry in the certain region in the way of comparison between the competitive conditions in the same industry. The second step is to analyze the comparative advantages of the manufacturing industry,mainly using the method of comparison of the development between different regions to reflect the advantage.The main content of this research thesis is as following:The first part is Chapter One: The introduction of the issue,the significance of the research,literature review,the research content and the research methodology. The second part is Chapter Two: The theory of the competitiveness in regional manufacturing industry. First the operational definition of the industrial competitiveness in regional manufacturing industry should be given and then the close explication of the theoretical foundation of the manufacturing competitiveness.The nucleus of this paper is the third part,which can be divided into two chapters. Chapter Three is to design an index system of assessment of the competitiveness in the regional manufacturing industry and to set the rule of assessment methods of the manufacturing competitiveness. Chapter Four is to choose different frames of reference and utilize two kinds of assessment methods to give analyses and comparisons on the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry in three cities of Yangzhou,Taizhou and Nantong in order to find the comparative and competitive advantages in the above three cities.The forth part is Chapter Five which is concerned with the factors for restricting the development of manufacturing industry in the Mid-Jiangsu, and the proposal put forward to promote the development of manufacturing industry.Due to my academic knowledge in this field and the condition of the research, the incompleteness of this thesis can be improved in the future research.
