On the basis of studying and analyzing TPM, this thesis has introduced TPM to the equipment management of Jiangling Casting Corporation, combing the practice of Jiangling Casting Corporation and the successful experiences of enterprises at home and abroad which have advanced TPM. The thesis focuses on the establishment of TPM system and confirms to implement TPM in following aspects based on 5s activity: rationalizing motion activity, establishing independent maintenance system and improving benefit. During the research on TPM activity system, this thesis has done a thorough analysis of the matters arising in the management of equipment maintenance, the resolution schemes, the appliance of TPM in Jiangling Casting Corporation, the difficulties encountered during the process, the measures adopted and the establishment of new equipment management. Furthermore, the thesis has solved the matters encountered during the advancement of TPM and has formed an equipment management mode combining the independent group activity and the independent maintenance system in which all the staff participate and emphasize on primary maintenance and preventive maintenance. This mode not only improves the combined equipment efficiency of Jiangling Casting Corporation and sets up good business culture, but also enhances the enterprise's vitality. Meanwhile, this mode changes gradually the original mode of passive equipment management into the independent mode of employing effective means.Consequently, the study's appliance in Jiangling Casting Corporation has strengthened the sense of whole participation, promoted the equipment management idea of Jiangling Casting Corporation, and has acquired certain tangible benefit and intangible benefit.
