Consumption is an important part in the social reproduction. Production is a starting point in four parts of social reproduction, share-out and exchange are the intermediate ring clause, and consumption is a last stop.As it is a continuous movement of social reproduction, development and the recycling process, the consumption is not only the end of an economic cycle, is also a precursor of the economic cycle, which is needed to ensure continuous operation of the driving force is the key to a virtuous circle of social reproduction. With the further deepening of the market economy, our country's economy from production-oriented to consumption-oriented transformation, consumption levels and consumption structure changes influence and restrict the production and the adjustment of the industrial structure to a large extent, so the study of residents' consumption structure is one of the important tasks of our economy's developing .The consumption structure of residents reflects changes in the quality of people's lives and an important indicator of socio-economic conditions improve. Changes in the structure and characteristics of the consumer trend analysis, can grasp the changes in the law and consumer trends, as well as to provide the basis for macro-economic management and micro-economic policy is undoubtedly of great theoretical and practical significance. This paper which uses the Extended Linear Expenditure System Model and the Gray Relational Theory gives an quantitative analysis to the spending structure of urban residents in Liaoning Province, with a view to the consumption structure of urban residents in Liaoning Province, and a more detailed understanding of the internal links, in order to quickly activate the consumer market, and optimize the consumption structure and promote the sustained, rapid and healthy development to provide advice and recommendations based. The body includes five chapters together. The first chapter is a part of the literature review. First, it describes the study of the significance of the consumption structure, then introduces briefly on the situation at home and abroad, and finally gives a brief description of the research about this idea.Chapter two introduces the concept of the consumption structure, classification, and outlines the main factors affecting the basic structure of consumption. The third chapter is an introduction to the system model, primarily to lay a solid foundation for future applications. It introduces the Extended Linear Expenditure System firstly, then focuses on the Gray System Theory, and finally evaluates Engel Coefficient, Gray Correlation Analysis and the Extended Linear Expenditure System Models which are commonly used research methods to the consumption structure.Chapter four is 'the empirical analysis, and it is also the focus of its research. First, it analyses Systematically the consumption structure of urban residents in Liaoning Province, using the Extended Linear Model (ELES) from the basic consumer spending, consumer trends, income elasticity of demand and price elasticity of demand. Second, it uses the Gray Relational Analysis method to analyze the composition of total consumption expenditure of urban residents in Liaoning province in the development and changes in the consumption structure. Finally, it gives an short-term forecast for the development trend of the consumption structure of urban residents in Liaoning Province, using the Gray Forecast Model GM (1,1).Chapter five is the conclusion. It proposes policy recommendations on optimizing the consumption structure, aiming at the problem of the consumption structure of urban residents in Liaoning Province.Since the study conditions, research time and I have limited capability, there are inevitable oversights in the article content and structure, I hope teachers of the assessment team give me some guidance.
