Six sigma is developed and improved from traditional quality management. It is a breaking through and continuous improve strategy. Through analyzing the relation of process input and output in order to optimize process, the end targets of six sigma are to decrease variance and defect, enhance accepting rate and customer's satisfaction, and increase retained profits.Six chapters are included in this thesis. Chapter one is about the introduction which mainly describes background, state of the art, contents, study process and so on. In chapter two, Foxconn SGX connector industry status, product feature, process difficulty, and the current issue are included. In chapter three, principle of six sigma are introduced and compared with TQM and ISO9000, and also it points out that six sigma is a systematic method and advanced management, which can help company to achieve and keep success. In chapter four, six sigma quality model and tool are introduced, and its set of effective method to achieve management target. In chapter five, six sigma application research is included, using six sigma quality tools are presented in SGX connector iron solder quality improve, and achieved cost target, all these are in order to enhance company competence. In chapter six, the conclusion is given, and the further improvement work is brought up.
