| Chinese furniture exports have been more than Italy since2006to become the world’sfurniture export country after years of development. As the stage of Europe and the UnitedStates anti-dumping investigation on Chinese furniture enterprises and the continuousemergence of various trade frictions, this makes the domestic sofa market morecompetitive. In order to improve enterprises competitiveness, more and more enterprisespay more attention to use the advanced management mode and methods to improve thequality and the efficiency of products.This thesis introduces the theory and characteristics of Six Sigma managementmethod firstly, and then analyzes the background of enterprise production. On the basis oftheoretical research, the efficiency improvement of the slipcover which is the key parts ofthe sofa is defined as the ultimate goal. Based on six sigma D-M-A-I-C improvementmethods as the main line, to get the concrete improvement goal and schedule throughBrainstorming, Gantt methods in the define phase. In the measure phase, by Gage R&Ranalysis and process capability analysis, using the Plato, Matrix method to find out the keyfactors affecting the production efficiency. In the analyze phase, through detailed analysisof the sources of variation to control the non quantitative factors. In the improvementphase, through the use of DOE method, find out the optimized parameters for thequantization factor to get the stable quality and reduce the impact on efficiency. In thecontrol phase, use the SPC and Xbar-R methods to further control the outcome. Eventually,the result shows that the slipcover production efficiency improved from60%to80%,achieved customer satisfaction, and enhanced the enterprise core competitive ability.By the actual implementation of six sigma project in W company, it set up theefficiency improvement model of slipcover production efficiency, and it can be referencefor other furniture industry to offer help. |
