Liaoning Province, The Industrial Structural Change An Empirical Study Of The Contribution To Economic Growth,

The industry is the primary content of social economic operation; meanwhile, the industrial structure is of great significance in the economic domain. The specific country's economic quality and power as well as whether the stable and booming economic growth could be brought about depends on the quality of the country's industrial structure and the reasonableness. In order to revitalize the Liaoning old industrial base, the issue of industrial structure must be reflected and adjusted in a scientific way.With normal analysis and positive study as well as comparison analysis adopted, the model of industrial structure change towards Liaoning's economic growth was formulated. Moreover, the adjusting and upgrading process of Liaoning's industrial structure was demonstrated as well. Based on the modern economic analyzing method and theories, the study conclusion of relationship between industrial structure change and the economic growth made both by foreign and domestic scholar was firstly summed up and reviewed. What's more, with the economic development of Liaoning province since reform and opening-up descript, the relationship between industrial structure and economic output was revealed when the three industries was reviewed specifically. Furthermore, two statistical methods were adopted to verify the conclusion. The Granger Causality test illustrated that the economic growth is the reason of industrial structure change, but the reverse is not true. Based on the regression analysis, it was founded that the elasticity of the second industry of Liaoning towards economic growth was so strong that its pillar effect was obvious. The scale economy effect of the first industry still existed when that of the tertiary industry and its sub-industry remained to be seen. Moreover, the shift-share analysis showed that the industrial deviation index and the competitiveness deviation index of the most part of Liaoning province exerted a positive influence on the economic growth when the competitiveness deviation index Panjin, Anshan and Fushun exerted a negative one. It showed that the industry development of the three cities lagged behind the average level of Liaoning. Thus, the three cities needed to boost its adjustment of industry structure. Last but not the least, it put forward the Countermeasures for the further adjustment and optimization of industrial structure in order to boom the economic growth. Put forward that Liaoning should promote industrial and agriculture industry first. The paper gives the detail way to develop each industry respectively.
