Knowledge worker's core role in the enterprise is an inevitable trend of knowledge economy, which cause motivating knowledge worker to be a vital issue in the area of management. Since people who was born in 1980s come to work for the enterprise and become part of the knowledge workers, and the various problems they caused in management attract widespread concern in society and the academic interest in the study. With after 80s playing an increasingly important role in enterprise, the study of this group is essential.Current research about knowledge worker of after 80s is still immature and no full fledged analyse frame exists. This paper explores the differences between after 80s and generation X on personality and motivational factors, then analyses it combined with the relation between personality and the choice of motivational factors. The cnclusion contributes to providing a reliable theoretical basis for enterprise in management.Based on the previous research, this paper defines related concept, summarizes existing studies about motivational factors of knowledge worker and the big five model, and concludes the concept, characteristics of after 80s. Then a model of motivational factors of knowledge workers is brought forward. A questionnaire-based survey is carried out and SPSS is applied in the process of data analysis.According to the results of data analysis, this paper gains several conclusions and adjusts model hypotheses. In this paper, personality is related to the choice of motivational factors, and there is a difference between after 80s and generation X on openness to experience, conscientiousness and neuroticism. Meanwhile, after 80s attaches importance to personal development and working atmosphere.Based on the theoretical research conclusions, advices for managing and motivating After 80s knowledge worker are represented. The expected future work is depicted at the end of the paper.
