At present there are 118 resource-based cities or towns. The total population has achieved 154 million people. These cities are mostly industrial and mineral cities (towns). Because industry or mine is almost the only reason for setting up the city, so the bearing capacity is low. Many cities are facing the stern situation of the resources depletion and the industry decline. The task of industrial transformation is extremely arduous. Industrial reforming of resource-based cities is the inevitable choice for them to realize the sustainable development. Research on strategies and countermeasures of industry reforming and ecological landscape reconstruction for resource-based cities has far-reaching significance on the cities that seek the positive and sustainable development at present. The one that industrial reforming of resource-based cities is successful or not is related to whether these areas could change growth ways, narrow the gap with advanced area and realizes the sustainable development. Research on industrial transformation of resource-based cities, putting forward constructive strategies and countermeasures, also has great practical significance on realizing the sustainable development of China's economy.The full text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter provides a systematic description such as the purpose of this thesis, background, meaning, content, focus, ideas, methods.The second chapter introduces especially related-theories about resource-based cities. It provides a detailed elaboration such as the characteristics of resource-based cities as well as the present situation, practice, theory of resource-based cities both at home and abroad.The third chapter illustrates characteristics about resource-based cities and reforming pattern of resource-based cities both at home and abroad. It also produces reforming patterns of resource-based cities: extention,supplementary,combination,restoration,withdrawal termination.The fourth chapter through the leading industry guidance and feasibility analysis, in view of the different situation, using the different strategies, provides more excellent guidance.The fifth chapter introduces applications of reforming pattern of resource-based cities to Pingxiang City, in order to demonstrate specific measures of reforming pattern.The sixth chapter is about the main conclusion of the conclusion characteristic, innovation, insufficiency and prospect of the research and so on.
