Discussion Of Modern Leadership

The Science of leadership is an important issue in the Science of management. Western scholars have made large quantity of fruitful explorations and formed complete theoretical system and rich experience in practice. But the issue of leadership was only introduced to our country after the policy of reform and openness was implemented. A brand-new management mode is badly needed by both reform in political system and growth of private enterprises to meet the requirements of the new economy, new politics and new society, enabling the study on leadership to have very strong practical significance.To a society like China, influenced by the feudal hierarchical concept for five thousand years, with a strong officer-standard tendency and with rigid leadership system and unitary mode of leadership, to include democracy, legal system, science, people-standard concept, harmony and other modern concepts in the practice of leadership will bring about great influence on the future prospect of development of our country. In consideration of the special historical and cultural background and in combination with the practical circumstances of our country, to study, digest, and absorb the achievements of study by the western countries is indispensable for improvement of the social management level of our country. This is the concern of this paper that will make a little contribution in the study on leadership in our country.
