Study Of Technical Barriers To Trade

Nowadays, with the international economic integration, the world economy links becomes closer and closer. Under the current framework of WTO, the function of tariff wall and traditional non tariff barriers such as quota and license weakens; TBT increasingly becomes the most direct, effective and important way for each country to protect domestic industries and to intervene international trade. Recently, under the influence of TBT, the export trade of pharmacy of Guizhou decreases increasingly. As one of the four medicinal materials bases in China, Guizhou should actively accept the challenge from the TBT of other countries. On one hand, pharmaceutical enterprises should improve the quality of their products so as to keep the pace of our exporting pharmaceutical products with international standard. On the other hand, they should take advantage of legal weapons to vigorously fire back the unreasonable trade barrier outside China. The government and trades society should also exert corresponding functions to help Guizhou pharmaceutical enterprises walk up to the international stage.The essay generalized the connotation and characteristics of TBT. Meanwhile, it used the economic analysis method of local isostasy to theoretically analyze the economic effect of TBT on Guizhou pharmaceutical imports and exports trades. Through theoretical and pragmatic analysis, the essay put forward some suggestions that may be helpful for the Guizhou pharmaceutical enterprises to effectively breakthrough technical trade barrier outside China.
