Xiuwen County, Guizhou Province Amount Of Cultivated Land Protection

With the referrence of the latest theories and methods about domestic and international cultivated land protection and a great deal of relevant data collections of cultivated land in Xiuwen County, we studied the quantity variety of cultivated land in the aspect of the time and space and pressure index on cropland(K), set up the model of cultivated land quantity prediction based on food safety, the trend analysis on the cultivated land quantity forecast with mathematical expressions and the model abled supplement forecast. Based on that, we discussed Xiuwen County cultivated land's utilizing status in quo, the pressure status in quo and balance of requirement and supplement Furthermore, integrated with an interview with the typical village point and field survey in Xiuwen County, we analysed the cultivated land protection measures and made the following research results:1. Through the analysis of configuration and quantity variety of cultivated land in Xiuwen County between the year 1997 and 2005, we find out the cultivated land utilizing status in quo, which is the cultivated land quantity is decreasing year after year and the proportion lasts out reducing in the farmland.2. Through the trend research of cultivated land in the aspect of time and space (including the inside configuration variety in Xiuwen County and the typical village point configuration variety), we know that mainly reason of the decreased on farmland is ecological restoration, the second reason is urban encroachment on cultivated land. In villages and towns, the reason urban encroachment is as important as the ecological restoration.3. The increased trend of pressure index on cropland (K) between the year 19% and 2005 told us that the pressure of cultivated land in Xiuwen County has been become more and more severely and this severe trend would continue in the coming 10 years. Moreover, the mainly reason which resulted in the pressure increased trend of cultivated land is cultivated land decrease.4. Through the prediction of the quantity of requirement and supplement in future, we could know that there would be a little gap in supplement in 2010, but it is receivability. In 2020, there would be more supplement than requirement, and it is the result of cultivated land effective protection. We also get that the most positive protection measure is land rearrangement. In the next place, the land development, land reclamation, making a feasible plan in ecological restoration and controlling urban encroachment are also effective protection measures.
