As a new management method, Six Sigma (60) was born at Motorola in 1980s. With the successful implementation of Six Sigma in General Electric pushed by Jack Welch, Six Sigma has rapidly surged huge storms worldwide. At present, most of the foreign companies which have business in China have taken Six Sigma as part of its management strategy. And more and more joint-ventures and foreign-capitals in China began to carry out the Six Sigma management strategy which was already mature in their parent company. Under this situation, the committee for nationwide carrying-out Six Sigma management had been established by the China quality association. The committee aimed to execute the Six Sigma management model in certain domestic enterprises gradually.To understand the true meanings of Six Sigma and taste the essential help from Six Sigma, it is necessary to sort and summarize the relative theory and practice. And it is of both high practical value and real meaning to discuss the application of Six Sigma in Chinese enterprises.The Six Sigma theory developed itself with the accumulation of real practices in enterprises. Since mid of 90 s, the Six Sigma had been turned from a tool for total quality management (TQM) into an effective technique for process redesign, improvement and optimization. And Six Sigma had been more widely recognized as a ruler to define the overall strategy objectives and design the new products through focusing on end-customers, a management theory for continuous improvement, and a symbol for core competition.Under this background, the thesis, through the stating of Six Sigma theory and the analysis of one successful Black Belt project, focused on the introduction of Six Sigma theory into manufacturing organizations and its detailed implementation of Six Sigma projects. And the illumination and conclusion were based on learning theory of Six Sigma and involving in this project. It was aimed to provide some referential experiences for domestic middle and small manufacturing enterprises on applying Six Sigma management and executing of specific Six Sigma projects.
