Tourist Destination Forest Park Management Research

There's great achievement in tourism of Chinese forest park all through the past twenty years. But many problems still exist in the process of operation and administration, such as lacking of investment and professional talents, disorder of administration, low tourist attraction and profit earning ability and so on. Meanwhile, the appearance of different development models in practice brings much confusion to the operators of Chinese forest park. How to solve the above problems and promote further development in forest park tourism under pioneering thinking and innovative method so as to lead forest park to the way of sustainable development is presently an important issue during the development of Chinese forest park. However, so far, researches on the operation and administration of Chinese forest park are deficient. The paper adopts methods of literature collection, comparison and analysis, interview and field investigation, in addition to induction and deductive method, making deep and systematic study to the operation and administration issues of tourism destination-type forest park. The main researching content sand results are as follows:1. It brings forward new taxonomy of forest parks, classifying forest parks to three types: tourism destination-type, public-type, and transition-type. It also elaborates this taxonomy's basis and meaning.2. It elaborates several important concepts, defining the concept and meaning of tourism destination-type forest park for the first time; it analyses the main function of forest park, characteristics of forest tourism and concept of operation and administration of forest park, which can be the important foundation of operation and administration of tourism destination-type forest park.3. It studies and neatens theoretic basis of forest park operation and administration, relevant study achievements, and experience in operation and administration of foreign national park..4. It systemically elaborates the operation and administration issue of tourism destination-type forest park in three parts of corporation and administration system, marketing management and supporting factors.5. It applies the operation and administration system of tourism destination-type forest park to practical operation and administration of Mount Wuyi national forest park, making systemic analysis and summary of the status and present problem of the operation and administration of this forest park and bring forward scheme and strategy, which is practically meaningful to tourist operation of Mount Wuyi national forest park.6. The last part makes a brief summary of the whole paper and points out the existing deficiency and study direction of the future study.
