China is a country with a large population. Grain security is an important issue. Through comprehensive analysis, Show that China's current overall level of food security high. But, as population growth and aspects of the reserves, China' s grain security is under pressure.On the other hand, China' s urbanization process of population and land use continued rapid development, promote national economic development, at same time, brought about a number of social and economic issues.Socio-economic distribution of resources among industries are more and more unreasonable. This paper research influence of Urbanization Development on China' s grain production from the demand for grain, grain supply and grain distribution three areas.This thesis, divided into seven chapters, analyzes the influence of urbanization on grain security from three aspects, which are demand, product and distribution.First chapter introduces the research background, target, former study and the framework of this thesis.Chapter 2 summarize the definitions of urbanization among different subjects, and study Chinese urbanization from population urbanization, land urbanization and the difference of economy development between urban and rural.In the third chapter, based on grain security, I analyze the product security, reserve security and grain demand structure of China in resent years.Chapter 4 summarizes the difference of grain demand between urban and rural, review the change of grain demand during the previous urbanization. This chapter also analyzes the change of grain demand in future urbanization, and finds out that the pressure of grain demand will raise when urbanization speeds up.By the methods of statistics and econometrics, chapter 5 analyzes the effect of population urbanization and land urbanization to Chinese grain production. The result is: On one hand, rapid population urbanization has caused labor force of agricultural reduced in quality and weakened in quantity.On the other hand, the accelerated urbanization of land use has directly lowered the total amount of plough land area and its quantity. Since so far in China grain production still relays on labor and land, the above attributes of urbanization development will continue negatively influence Chinese grain production.Chapter 6 summarizes the development of Chinese grain distribution and analyzes the disadvantages of grain price determination in current dual economy.The last chapter contains the summary and some advices to policy.
