Study Of Green Trade Barriers Faced By China's Western Region

In international trade, tariff measures and non-tariff measures have been an important means of trade protection, on which the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries have to rely to protect domestic industries. However, tariff measures have been weakened by the encouragement of the WTO and elimination of tariffs between member countries in some regional economic organizations. The flexibility, concealment and target of non-tariff measures make them popular in many countries. With more and more severe pollution of environment in the globe, the conflicts between environment protection and development of trade have become intensified, and thus green trade barrier came into being in many countries. Under the name of environment protection, some states have formed green trade barrier as their advanced trade barrier by its nebulous concept, ambiguous interpretation, complex standard and arbitrary operation. Green trade barrier has become the tool to limit the import and export of developing countries by developed countries under the name of environment protection. As the largest developing country in the world, China has been affected seriously combined with the reality, is given to put forward the tactics against green barrier and to by green trade barrier. Although the economy and international trade are backward in Western China, the international trade has developed rapidly by its potential in recent years, and it must be affected by green trade barrier internationally.
