Develop countries frequently use green trade barriers to restrict the product export from China, with the new standard of the MRL of agriculture chemicals about the import tea especially since 2000, which is significant to study the concept of the effect of green trade barriers. So, it is practically important for China's foreign trade and the development of economy to research of green trade barriers and whether the decrease of the Chinese tea export is affected by EU's restrict.This paper introduces the concept and theory of green trade barriers, and is associated with China's specific national conditions and the background, what's more, green trade barriers to restrict the product export from China tea export is core of this paper. In this paper, the basic international trade theory as a guide to absorb the ideological essence of Environmental Protection of the developed countries on international trade. In the process of analysis, I apply the theory with practice, trying to make the study of theory with practice to achieve unity. I use standardized methods and empirical research methods.This paper is divided into five parts: in the first preface it draws out the contents of this paper, and points out the research intent and purport, the research methods etc.. In the second chapter it is the review about the green trade barriers, and analyzes the researches both in China and the foreign countries, and introduces the Gravity Model. In the third chapter it analyzes the concept and features of green trade barriers. It combines the related data and materials to analyze in green trade barriers and non-green trade barriers, and then, adopts the Gravity Model to find out whether the new standard of the MRL of agriculture chemicals about the import tea of EU causes some negative effects of the Chinese tea export. In the fourth chapter, it carries out the economic analysis about the green trade barriers from the aspects of import country, export country, and interest gains and losses. I expatiates the impacts of the green trade barriers on the agriculture products and the effects of the Chinese agriculture products. In the fifth chapter, I come up with some measures and strategies associated with SWOT theory to enhance the Chinese tea export competitiveness in the green trade barriers environment on the basis of the analysis above. Finally, it gets conclusions.
