Cluster Supply Chain Research

Industrial cluster as a new economic development model, has been attention of scholars both at home and abroad for its unique structural features and economic vitality. The main reason that leads to its success is industrial upgrading which caused by complete supply chain and logistics integration. Thus, scholars both home and abroad try to study the industrial cluster theory and the supply chain management theory together and the concept of cluster supply chain is proposed.This paper studies cluster supply chain based on silk &textile industrial cluster in Shengze. Firstly, the paper introduces the basic theory of cluster supply chain, including the concept, structure, characteristics, classification and competitive advantage; secondly, the paper studies the history and situation, mode, features, competitive advantages, the obstacles to sustainable development and the measures to realize sustainable development of silk &textile industrial cluster in Shengze. On the basis of the theory discussed before, the paper studies the organizational structure, formation and development mechanism, collaborative strategies and the operation flow of cluster supply chain of silk &textile in Shengze; Finally, after introducing the E-business platform of Shengze and analyzing the needs for service platform, an ASP platform is built in theory for the cluster supply chain of silk &textile in Shengze which includes the architecture and the function module. And, the paper gives an example to demonstrate the application in practice.
