Xi'an Economy Hotel Development Strategy Study

Xi'an, as one of the world's four ancient major civilizations, has unique tourism resources and the demand for economy hotels with comfortable, clean and convenient features has grown intensivly. At present, economy hotels in Xi'an are still in their infancy. On the one hand, it has a bright future, on the other hand, there are many problems in the process of development. How to ensure the development in a healthy and rapid way has become an urgent problem we have to deal with.The article firstly discusses the research background, the significance, the framework, the research method of the whole text, theoretical basis for research is discussed. Secondly, the definition of economy hotels, and the relating conditions are explained through the review of the development of economy hotels both domestic and abroad, and the questionnaire investigation is adopted to grasp consumers'understanding of economy hotels. Thirdly, by analyzing the current development of hotels in Xi'an, the author gives a detailed analysis of the status and industry environment of economy hotels mainly with the method of SWOT analysis. Finally, in conclusion, the thesis puts forward the development strategy for economy hotels in Xi'an.The innovation of this paper is listed as follows:First, ideas related to the management, the economys, the marketing and the regional development theory are adopted. With a combination of popular innovation theory, the framework of Xi'an Economy-based hotel is built, seeking to innovate the traditional research method. Secondly, problems are analysed combined with the regional distribution, product positioning, business models, cost controlling, and the marketing communication etc. Suggestions are put forward in order to give reference for the healthy development of economy hotels in Xi'an.
