The economy of China has been growing rapidly and steadily, so the market demand for resource products has keep rising. Due to the scarcity and uneven distribution of resource products, it is necessary that China would trade from abroad for the resource products, in order to ensure the high-speed and stable economy and offset the demand gap.This paper based on the resource products which are mainly traded in China, and explains the development of the resource product trade policies in five parts:The first part briefly introduces the main contents, the research methods and the structures of this paper. The second part introduces the concepts about the resource products and riviews the literatures at home and abroad on the resource product policies. The third part illustrates the general situation of the resource products trade in China, and categorizes the main Chinese resource products.The fourth and fifth part takes the example of petroleum oil and coal trade, describes the trading situation of them, respectively. Then it summerizes the periodical characteristics of the Chinese petroleum oil and coal trade policies, and offers the constructive suggestions for Chinese trade policies.By making definations about resource products and researching Chinese resource product policies, the conclusions of this paper are as follows:1. Categorize the main trading resource products into four segments according to the import-export dependency. 2. The main factors, which affect the petroleum oil trade in China, are the proportion of petroleum oil production comsumption and the price level, etc.3. The periodical segmentation of Chinese petroleum oil and coal trade policies, and points out the evolution of the trade policy has a character of "tight-loose-tight".4. The constructive suggestions on the current policies of Chinese resource products.
