With the great development of the globalization of world economy, there has been an inevitable trend towards to international business for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). As a SME, H Company has achieved some developments in international operation for the past six years. But the company still faced with many specific issues in development of international operation. How to recognize and solve these issues so as to keep sustainable development of its international operation has become an important subject of H Company.Based on a structural sequence of development history, existing issues and countermeasure, firstly, this paper starts with the analysis of the background and development history of H Company's international operation, which is helpful to understand and analyze the development issues existed in H Company; Secondly, it analyzes and summarizes the existing issues during the internationalization development of H company, the issues are respectively in four aspects:development strategy, human resource management, organizational management and technological innovation management; Finally, the paper analyzes and formulates the countermeasures for internationalization development of H Company.The paper adopts EFE matrix and IFE matrix to evaluate external and internal business environment of H Company's internationalization development; it adopts SWOT model to make the alternative strategies for H Company's international operation, and based on QSPM matrix model, the best development strategy is chosen from the alternatives; furthermore, according to above analysis to put forward 5 years' development strategy for H Company's international operation.The issues in H Company's international operation are typical in some degree. Lack of clear scientific development strategy guidance for international operation, shortage of talents for international operation, without high efficiency organizational management for internationalization and thinking little of technological innovation management are prominent issues for most of China's SMEs in their international operation. The analysis and conclusion of the paper can be used not only for H Company itself in solving the issues, improving management efficiency and promoting the development of international business but also for any SMEs in China as a reference of practical experience.
