Gender Perspective Of Tourism Development And Qiang Women's Development Research

With the further and persistent development of tourism, ethnic minority areas have relied on its unique natural scenery, cultural landscape, customs and folk art and artifacts, ethnic tourism in these areas has developed rapidly. Ethnic tourism not only plays an important role on economic and social development, but also has had profound effects in all aspects of these areas, especially on the local women. They experience different cultural exchange, their thinking, behavior and roles are gradually changing while contact with tourists frequently. This paper based on former achievements, from the perspective of anthropology of tourism, take ethnic tourism in Tao Ping, Li County, Sichuan Province as the example, through the analysis of influence in the ethnic tourism and local women, and the roles changes of the local women etc, for the purpose of grasping how the local women to obtain their own development when they participate in the ethnic tourism, and how to promote ethnic tourism sustainable development.This paper consists of the following parts:PartⅠ:Background and literature summary. Mainly involves the correlation studies which domestic and international tour anthropologists regarding this issue, and the perspective, methods and significance of this paper. PartⅡ:The gender roles of the women in traditional Qiang nationality society, including the growth, marriage and family, funeral rituals and festivals such as the traditional role of taboos were analyzed.PartⅢ:Compares the changes of the women when the participates in the ethnic tourism industry; analysis of the influence of ethnic tourism development on the local women,such as the economic, social, and cultural aspects; discuss the important role of the local women played on ethnic tourism, and how to make the cultural heritage be better protected and developed.PartⅣ:Conclusion. Tourism destination will bring economic, social, cultural and environmental impact, particularly on local women. On the one hand, tourism development make promotion of minority women's own development; on the other hand, ethnic minority women have a good development in ethnic tourism, but also there are many negative factors, these negative factors hindered the development of women and ethnic minorities the sustainable development of tourism.
