Transcatheter Hepatic Arterial Chemoembolization Combined Intrasplenic Injection Of Interferon Therapy In Transplanted Liver Tumors In Rats, Experimental Studies

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of TACEcombined with intrasplenic injection of interferon-alpha ontransp1anted liver neoplasms in rat models. Materials andMethods Forty rats bearing transplaned liver cancer of Walker-256 breast carcinoma were randomly grouped and tf eated bynormal saline as control(G,), or TACE alone(G,), or intrasplenicinjection of IFN- a alone(G,), or combined administration(G.).(TACE mean administration of cisplatin 2mg/kg+lipiodol 0.2ml/kgvia hepatic artery; Intfasplenic injection meant IFN- a 300,000U/ratwas injected into spleen directly). The theraPeutic effects wereobserved including analysis of changes of tumors' volume,theproportion of tllmors' necrosis and the eXPression of PCNA intumors' tissue.
