Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of TACEcombined with intrasplenic injection of interferon-alpha ontransp1anted liver neoplasms in rat models. Materials andMethods Forty rats bearing transplaned liver cancer of Walker-256 breast carcinoma were randomly grouped and tf eated bynormal saline as control(G,), or TACE alone(G,), or intrasplenicinjection of IFN- a alone(G,), or combined administration(G.).(TACE mean administration of cisplatin 2mg/kg+lipiodol 0.2ml/kgvia hepatic artery; Intfasplenic injection meant IFN- a 300,000U/ratwas injected into spleen directly). The theraPeutic effects wereobserved including analysis of changes of tumors' volume, theproportion of tllmors' necrosis and the eXPression of PCNA intumors' tissue. The distribution of T-lymphocytes in rats'periPheral blood were a1so detected with immunofluorescence. Results ㏕he 7th day after treatment ,the tumor growth rate(GR) of G4 was significantly lower than that of G2(PO.05). So was that of G1 and G3. However, the necrosis of G4 and G2 was significantly more extensive than those of G3 and G1(P
