Catgut Implantation At Acupoint On The Effects Of Experimental Epilepsy In Rats

Purpose:To explore .the influence of catgut implantation at acupoints on the Encephalogram of Epileptic mice models ,which include fundamental frequency of electro_encephalon, fundamental wave amplitude of electro_encephalon, average wave amplitude of electro_discharge, the highest wave amplitude of eletro_discharge, the frequency of electro_discharge and probe into the influence of that on the incubation period of attach incidence rate of more than Level IV of epileptic mice models by establishing the epileptic mice models. Then further ascertain the clinical therapeutic effects of catgut implantation at acupoints and the difference between catgut implantation at acupoints and acupuncture therapy.Methods:we selected the mice models of chronic experimental epilepcy caused by "mei jie mian" .40 cases mice were divided into 4 groups,such as normal group, model group, catgut embeding at acupoints group, and acupuncture therapy group.The group of acupoints catgut embeding theray were embeded catgut at the extra acupoint "yao qi" and scalp acupoint "e zhong xian" , and the group of acupuncture therapy were punctured at the same acupoints with acupoints embeding catgut group.The two groups were treated under the same conditions and environment for two weeks.Results:After two weeks,the both treated groups dramaticaly increased the fundamental frequency of electro_encephalon of epileptic mice models,decreased the fundamental wave amplitude of electro_encephalon, the average wave amplitude of electro_discharge, the highest wave amplitude of electro_discharge, reduced the frequency of electro_discharge, improved wave type of electro_encephalon,prolonged the incubation period of attack and lower the incidence rate of more than level IV . Furthermore,the group of acupoints catgut embeding therapy has the the better therapeutic effects on decreasing the average amplitude of electro_discharge and increasingthe fundamental frequency of electro_encephalon compared with the group of acupuncture therapy .But ,statistics analysis has no marked'difference.Cone I us ions:The both treatments of acupoints catgut embeding and acupuncture therapy may improve electro_encephalogram of epileptic mice,prolong the incubation period of attack and decrease the incidence rate of more than level IV .Their therapeutic effects are definite,but no difference.At the same time,the both treatments can not get the electro_encephalogram of epileptic mice recover normal.
