Preliminary Study Of Standardization Of Assessment Standards And Its Epidemiological Investigation Of Physical Deficiency

Constitution is the objective biological phenomena, it is individual differences inmorphology,physiology,psychology that determined the sensitiveness to disease andpathological tendentiousness. The theory of traditional Chinese medicine think that theessence of life, Qi, blood, body fluids are the basic substance to constitute andmaintain people's life .The more or less of the essence of life, Qi, blood, body fluidsresult in individual differences in morphology or physiology or psychology, soJing-Qi-Xue-Jinye can be regarded as the key elements to appraise constitution. Theconstitution of qi deficiency is one type of common constitution that because of Qideficiency to weaken the function of Zangfu-Organs .Some scholar have studied theconstitution by epidemic method, and the result has indicated that the constitution ofQi deficiency was the most common type of constitution, so it is worth researchingdeeply. Up to now, there is little research to the constitution of Qi deficiency, and theavailable research was limited in the documents and theory studies, which due towithout the diagnosis standard. In order to go deep into the research of the theconstitution of Qi deficiency, we should work out the diagnosis standard. Our task istry to study the diagnosis standard by the method of epidemiology in order to providethe method and thinking for the research of diagnosis standard of the constitution of Qideficiency. Our task is try to study the relationship between the constitution of Qideficiency and the place or the sex or the age or the character in order to understandthe state of distribution and this factors's influence to the formation of the constitutionof Qi deficiency. The paper consists of three parts: literature summarization, theoretical studies andepidemic studies. 1.The literature summarization: We have introduced the current research situationabout the constitution of traditional Chinese medicine and the constitution of Qideficiency. 2.The theory studies : In this part we have discussed the concept,the influentialfactors, the characters about the constitution of Qi deficiency. 3.The epidemic studies: We have worked out the questionnaire on the basis ofliterature studies, and used it to investigate the people lived in Beijing who have notthe chronic disease. By reading the literature about the constitution of Qi deficiency,we selected 24 features concerning the constitution of Qi deficiency, then calculatedthe frequency that every feature has appeared in the literature, and used the percentplaces method to formulate the diagnosis standard. We utilized this standard to selectthe constitution of Qi deficiency, and researched the constitution of Qi deficiency英文摘要 Vdistribution in the different area,different sex and different age , we also researchedthe individual character of the constitution of qi deficiency. In order to make thediagnosis standard more simply and more practical, we have tried to make out the self-diagnosis standard. By statistics we have chosen 17 features concerning the symptomand the habit of life. The results of the epidemic studies: The appearing rate of the constitution of Qideficiency is 19%. The peasants are easier to be the constitution of Qi deficiency thanthe people lived in town and urban district. The women are easier to be the constitutionof Qi deficiency than the men. The men at the age of 57 to 64 are easier to be theconstitution of Qi deficiency than other age group. The women in all age group havenot the marked difference. The people of constitution of Qi deficiency are moreintroverted and unstable in character than the normal constitution people. The peopleof constitution of Qi deficiency have not the habit of taking exercise.
