[OBJECTIVE]:Reccently soy isoflavones' function is becoming the focus in the area of the care for human's health. We have studied in collecting , separating , purificating the soy isoflavones and the soy isoflavones' function of antioxidized and antiarteriosclerosis. This paper is to offer the evidence in preventing and cure arteriosclerosis disease by observing the changing , caused by soy isoflavones , of biochemical index and organize and morphology of aorta of arteriosclerosis rabbits . [METHODS] 30 health white big ear rabbits from Japan ( 15 males, 15 females ) , about 2.0kg for each . They were randomly divided into three groups ( 5 males , 5 females for each ) : normal control group ( fed with basic forage offer by our animal department), hypercholesterolemia group ( fed with 1.5g·d-1 cholesterol and basic forage for each.), and SI treatment group ( fed with 1.5g·d-1 cholesterol, 150mg·kg-1· d-1 SI and basic forage ).All the animal wer fed in the same condition , one cage for each , free eating and drinking . Weighin them once a week , collecting 4ml vein blood from the ears after 12hs forbidded th food on the fifth weekend and the tenth weekend . Collecting blood serum , 3500turns · m-1 for 5 minites with normal centrifuge under normalatmospheric temperature . 5ul blood serum mixed with 500ul work reagent had been put for 6-10 minites in 37°C water . Then measured the content of TG , TC and hdl-c . Ldl-c =TC-TG/5-hdl-c . On the tenth weekend all the rabbits were killed by air bolt , and each aorta was taken to be observed the chang under the light microscope . [RESULTS] This pape shows SI can reduce the level of TG in blood through digestion . It can also raise the level of hdl-c . SI can stop the foam cell formationin in arterioscleroses aorta of the rabbits . [CONCLUSION] 1 .SI can effectly stop the formation of arterioslerosis . 2.Maybe , the mechanism of soybean's antiarteriosclerosis is reducing the level of TG .
