Objective: To observe the efficacy of nourishing-kidney and regulating-lipidemia method to patients with menopausal syndrome (MPS) combined dyslipidemia(hepatic and renal yin deficiency).Method: 60 women with MPS combined dyslipidemia were divided into two groups at random. One was the observing group which had 30 cases treated with Geng Nian Chong Ji Jia Wei, the other was the control group which had also 30 cases treated with atorvastatin. Course of treatment was eight week. Level of total cholesterol(TC) triglyeride(TG) high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C) low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) estradiol(E2) luteinizing hormone(LH) follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and Syndromes of Traditional Chinese Medicine were observed before and after treatment.Result: The nourishing-kidney and regulating-lipidemia can markedly improve the symptom of patients with MPS combined dyslipidemia and lower serum TC TG LDL-C,promote HDL-C. It can also promote serum E2 and lower serum LH and FSH. The observing group has no obviously difference with the control group in treatment of lipidemia (P> 0.05) ,but in treatment of regulating endocrine disturbance and improve the symptom, it is superior to the control group. Conclusion: The nourishing-kidney and regulating-lipidemia method can efficiencyly improve the clinical symptom of patients with MPS combined dyslipidemia. At the same time,it can also adjust the endocrine disturbance and regulate the lipidemia.
