Objective: To explore the different influences on ectopic and eutopicendometrium of EMT model rats and illuminate the action mechanism of NeiYiKangFu Suppository (NYKFS) in treating endometriosis by rectal administration.Methods: Healthy and sexual matured female SD rats were taken as theresearching objects and EMT model were achieved by autologous operation transplantation. Six groups were randomly formed which were high-dose and middle-dose groups of NYKFS, Danazol capsule group, DanEFuKangJianGao (DEFKJG) group, model group and normal control group. 30 days after operation medicines were continuously given to the rats for 30 days. We observed effects of different treatments on the tissue morphology of ectopic and eutopic endometrium and regulation of the death receptor pathway of apoptosis. The gland numbers, the superposition epidermis areas and the macrophage quantity in ectopic endometrium and the numbers and areas of glands in eutopic endometrium were measured by HE staining method. Expressions of Fas, FasL and Caspase-3 in ectopic and eutopic endometrium were observed by immuno-histo-chemistry and SP staining method.Results: Middle-dose group of NYKFS and Danazol capsule group couldobviously reduced the gland numbers in ectopic endometrium of EMT model rats (P<0.05). High-dose and middle-dose groups of NYKFS, Danazol capsule group and DEFKJG group could markedly reduce the superposition epidermis areas and make the superposition epidermis thinner in ectopic endometrium (P<0.01). Middle-dose group of NYKFS and Danazol capsule group significantly increased the macrophage quantity in ectopic endometrium (P<0.01). High-dose and middle-dose groups of NYKFS and DEFKJG group had no obvious influences on the gland numbers and areas in eutopic endometrium of EMT model rats.
