Objective: To observe the effect of She Gan Ma Huang Decoction Jia Wei(SGMHDJW) on IFN-Υ, superoxide dismutase(SOD) and malondialdeh- yde(MDA) in mice models of asthma.Method: Forty female mice were randomly divided equally into four gro- ups: normal group, model group, SGMHDJW group, Dexasone group. Ex -cept the normal group, the mice in other three groups received sensitizat -ion by intraperitoneal injection of ovalbumin(OVA)and challenge by inh -alation of OVA to induce bronchial asthma, The mice models of asthmaerwent with different therapy. At last the inflammation factors such as the concentrations of IFN-Υ, SOD and MDA in the serum or the lung tis -sue of each mouse were detected, respectively.Results: Compared with the asthmatic group, the concentrations of IFN-Υin the serum(P<0.05) and SOD in the lung tissue increased in the SGM HDJW group(p<0.01), and the concentrations of MDA decreased in the S GMHDJW group(p<0.01).Conclusion: The possible mechanism of SGMHTJW in relieving the infla mmation of airway is related to the regulation of oxidation and antioxidat -ion system and increased the levels of IFN-Υ, in the serum effectively.
