Stuffy Nose Injury Spleen Experimental Study

OBJECTIVE:The theory,"spleen should be impaired by nasal obstruction", is concluded from Pro.Xiong Dajing's long-clinic experience and admitted extensively.We observe the effect of "spleen should be impaired by nasal obstruction" on immunity action of rats modal,meanwhile,the regulation of Jianpitongqiao decoction to this modal.METHODS:Establishing rat's nasal obstruction model by artificial obstructing nasal cavities of rats,5 groups are involved which are the normal group, the modal group,the group of Jianpitongqiao decoction in low dosage,the group of Jianpitongqiao decoction in middle dosage,the group of Jianpitongqiao decoction in high dosage.After the model was established,Jianpitongqiao decoction is given to the rat by enema starting from 14th to 21st day.After treatment,general condition,weight, White blood cells,red blood cells,hemoglobin,RBC-C3bR,RBC-IC,IL-2,IL-4, spleen index,thymus gland index and the pathogenic changes of spleen were examed.RESULTS:The results are as follow:The modal rats have poor general conditions,the weight of them grown slowly,spleen index and thymus gland index are decreased,RBC and HB are reduced in plasma,RBC-C3bR are dropped while RBC-ICR increased,the volume of spleen minification with congestion in spleen sinus.Jianpitongqiao decoction has significant actions of control the symptoms.CONCLUSION:"spleen should be impaired by nasal obstruction" can drop down the immunity action of rat's experimental nasal obstruction modal.Adsitionally, Jianpitongqiao decoction can improve it.
