Weinan Dialect Speech Research

Weinan is located in the eastern part of the Guanzhong Plain in Shaanxi.Wei Nan dialect belongs to Guanzhong dialect of Zhongyuan mandarin Chinese. So far, there is no special research dissertation on WeiNan dialectical tones.Based on field survey, I will adopt the approach of synchronic and diachronic,summarize the characteristics of Wei Nan's dialect phonetic, and speculate its regularity of development by comparison with neighboring dialects.This dissertation is divided into five chapters.Chapter One:Introduction, which I firstly introduced Wei Nan's geography, population and history. Then according the difference of initials, finals, I presented the four districts of Wei Nan's dialects and indicate that the subject I surveys is the dialect in the area of two pains. Finally, I explained the current status of Wei Nan dialectical tone's research. Chapter Two:the analysis of Wei Nan dialect phonetic,which describes the system of Wei Nan dialect phonetic, concludes the characteristics of pronunciation variations, and draws the phonology tune with the table. Chapter Three:the homophony syllabary of Wei Nan dialect.Chapter Fou:compared with the medieval tone, I summarized the features of Wei Nan dialect in consonants, vowels and tones.
