The Chinese painting is also named the painting.The'dan'means the cinnabar,the 'qin'means the mineral blue.The naming of Chinese painting base on the painting.It is absolutely proved that the painting is vital for Chinese painting,But in the art history,there are few literature that the painting was concerned about. this paper is made for the purpose of learning the function of painting in Chinese drawing art.By reading the literature of reference, comaring thories, the subjectivity that is the spiritual characteristics of chinese painting has been illustrated by three aspects, the chinese art culture, the creative in practice and the expression language.In art culture, by analysis of the three theories,'five colors of ink','the color of the Confucian',and'the color of Taoists', it was understood that the chinese painting had been deeply impacted by the ancient chinese philosophy,at the same time the reason of color subjectivity was expressed,is functional in the chinese art culture.By analysis of the theories from the ancient literature,as'Application of colors according to categories', the'Objective color'and'subjective color'is shown. It alse the important reason for the subjectivity of Chinese painting.In the final part,it is explained that the application for the color subjectivity of Chinese painting by means of the'ink'and 'color',foucs on the performance techniques.In conclusion, it is explained the cause of the color subjectivity of Chinese painting, performance and effect and the importantce.
