Adverb is a kind of function words in ancient Chinese,which has a large quantity,and includes the most extensive and complex words, it has always been the focus and the difficulty of the study of Chinese grammar.The research of its development and evolution process can not be lack. In Chinese history, the book specializing in adverb is still in weak links. Buddhist scriptures is an important corpus of Chinese history, Chinese studies for the Middle are even more precious." Liudujijing " has been one of the classics in early Buddhist parable,Kangsenghui translated and edited it by the popular style of four words, lively and readable.It truly reflected language features of that time,so It is necessary to study adverbs in system. Given the above, I selected the "Liudujijing" adverbs as the object of study, hoping to contribute to the basic research work.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part briefly introduces reason and significance of topic, and illustrates importance and necessity of Middle Chinese adverbs.The second part summarizes adverbs from name,nature and status, overviews the research, raises problems and gives my own view.The third part is the static description. First classifies adverbs into seven categories, and then gives examples and description of adverbs, and uses synchronic description, quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis,in order to reflect general features of adverbsFinally, summarizes and concludes. The "Liudujijing "in the adverb shows the characteristics of Middle Chinese, and ancient Chinese adverb system differences, there are some new meaning and new words, but mainly in use on the ancient Chinese, mainly with the old words, old and new Words co-exist, polysyllabic words (combinations) appears and is not stable enough so that the ancient Chinese Middle Chinese is the hub of change in modern Chinese, plays a key role in connecting link. It reflects the Chinese adverb is a relatively stable system, most of them have been in use, but also a constantly evolving system.
