In " Book of Lord Shang ", single sentence include main verb sentences of 155 and non-verb sentences of 2. This fully explains the expression of semanties has been developed very completely and generally which consist of by subject and predicate. Single sentence on the main terms of that sentence, is divided into four categories:nouns that statement, adjectives that statement, verbs that statement, the Lord that statement. Every main verb sentences'subject and predict are different. On terms that the noun statement, their predicate are generally a noun or noun phrase, the subject are a noun phrase, "who" phrases, demonstrative pronoun "this", and "while" connecting word phrase. To adjectives that statement, the predicate are generally adjectives or adjectives phrases as the center, the subject are "who" word phrases, verb phrases, nominal modification phrases. On the verb that sentences, according to the nature of the predicate, there are intransitive, transitive verbs, auxiliary verbs, there are verbs, utilize verbs; According to the combinations of verb, there are linked and double subject. Predicate that statement, the predicate is a verb phrase and may also be two main phrases, the subject are nominal modification connect with "the", "the so-called" with "by" word phrases.According to the rough statistics of the author, in " Book of Lord Shang ", there are 1080 sentences, excepting for 73 sentences (because these sentences can not reflect the face of the language of Qin Dynasty),this thesis provides statistical description of 1007 sentences of the " Book of Lord Shang ", including 157 single sentences which accounting for 16% of statistics,and 850 complex sentences accounting for 84% of statistics. According to the analysis and statistics, we conclude the characteristics in the syntax of " Book of Lord Shang" as following:1. Abundant of complex sentences appeared, and their number far exceeds the single sentences. Various types of complex sentences in general are in place, where all the complex sentences in modern Chinese relations types, " Book of Lord Shang " in general are used, and has gradually developed.2. Focus on the integrity of language.3. A single, complex sentence-based and diverse, flexible. Single sentence on the main terms of that sentence, is divided into four categories:nouns that statement, that statement adjectives, verbs that statement, the Lord that statement.
