The study on Bargu Local Dialect, which is a branch of Bargu Buriat, begins from Chengheltai's paper "An Introduction to Languages in Mongolian Group and Mongolian Dialects in China" in 1957 and has gained some achievements through the researches made from 1955 to 1956 and in 1980.The paper chooses the grammatical categories of nouns in Bargu as research object and investigates the forms, affixes, and meanings of the categories of the nouns; the plural, the case, and the possessive in an attempt to prove the author's opinions, based on the previous research and data collected during the field research. Chapter one describes the fact that the plural of a noun -n(?)r is expressed by means of both suffixation and non-suffixation. And it is first proposed that the plural suffix -n(?)r in Bargu can be used after masculine words; the suffix《(?)》is pronounced as -su:d/-su: d orally; the suffix -nu : d/-nu:d is used after the words ending with consonant [n],[l] orally. In Chapter two, the case in Bargu is classified into nine groups; nominative, genitive, accusative, locative, instrumental, ablative, comitative, inner-locative, attributive, according to the forms and meanings. In the respect of forms, there are some newly found forms such as,-ne: in the genitive,-te:in the comitative,-u:r in the instrumental. In the terms of affixes, it is found that the suffixes of the genitive-i:n/-i:(?) are used after the words ending with the consonants like [g][r][d][s][m][l][(?)]; the suffix of the genitive-i:is used after the words ending with the consonants like [n][m][l][(?)][b][g][r][s]; the suffix of the locative -t is used mainly after the words ending with the consonants like [g][r]; the suffixes of the inner-locative so:/s(?): /so:are used after the words ending with vowels and the consonants like [n][l][r][g], etc. As for the meanings, the genitive expresses the meaning "extent or meaning"; the ablative expresses the meaning "transform"; the instrumental has the meaning "depth of a liquid"; the inner-locative has the meaning "to emphasize".In chapter three, an analysis on the possessive in Bargu is carried out, which is divided into two groups, such as reflexive and personal possessive, in the respects of forms, affixes, and meanings. As a result, it is found that in Bargu there is a new form of first personal possessive -ma:n; when the form of reflexive possessive-a:/-(?): goes after the form of the genitive -ni:/-ne:, the consonant[g]or[x] appears between them; the form of first personal possessive -ma:n is used as singular meaning showing respect.
