"是"sentence is the sentence pattern which uses the verb "是"as it's predicate in modem Chinese. It is not only a common but also a complicate sentence pattern characterized by the distinctive grammar feature. This paper is based upon the predecessor's studies and the traditional theories and methods. It will broaden our study vision by using the Three Plane Theory and the Markedness Theory. The detailed observation from the syntax planes semantic plane and pragmatic plane will give comprehensively and thoroughly discribe and explain to the "是"sentence.
