Restudying The Phenomenon Of The Verb-object Verb With Object (VO₁+O₂)

The verb-object verb with object (VO1+O2) is one of the more exceptive phenomena in the Chinese grammar. The train of thought is the combination of syntax, semantic and pragmatic in the paper. The valency theory and grammaticalization theory are mainly analytic theory in the paper. At the same time, the paper uses other works as our source of study. The paper's purpose is to do the multi-angle and many-sided study of the new structure VO1+O2 which are not currently collected in the dictionary. First, the new structure VO1+O2 is studied by syntax, semantic,valency and pragmatic. Then, we analyse the formative motive of the new VO1 and make the difference between the new VO1 and the VO1 collected in the dictionary. We think the formative cause of the new structure VO1+O2 is mostly linguistic principle of economy and lexical grammaticalization, and the structure VO1+O2 collected in the dictionary and the structure VO1+O2 non-collected in the dictionary are nuances of meaning in syntax, semantic, pragmatic and so on. We conbine form with meaning, static state with dynamic state, description with explanation as possible as we can. Thereby, we can better understand this particular grammatical phenomenon.
