Many changes occurred with the development and establishment of thesystem of Socialist Market Economy. The ownership system Id featured bystate——wned system that is the main body of the economy; but there existmultiple ownership systems, too. The distribution system is basically basedon labor and supplemented by varied forms. The above two factors lead theinterest relationships in our country to a complex condition. In accordancewith the laws and regulations of market economy, the subjects interest andtheir consciousness have been affirmed and enhanced. As a result, theinterest conflicts are an inescapable phenomenon, which, In turn, causes thefluctuations of interest relationships. Therefore, it has been a focus in thefield of ethics to probe and discuss the moral regulation of interestrelationships in order to promote economic development and social stability. This thesis is based on the theoretical literature in the area, adopts thedialectical and historical materialism of Marxism, and is carried on from theperspective of philosophy that ethics may regulate interest relationships. Thus the dialectical relation between moral regulation and interestrelationships is discussed and the orientation of moral regulation is proposedin this thesis. The above ideas can be seen in the following four parts.Part one: the interest relationships in socialist market economy andmoral regulation. By the conceptualization of interest, interest relationshipand moral regulation, and the analysis of the intrinsic relation betweeninterest relationships and moral regulation, we can safely draw theconclusion that interest relationships serve as the immediate basis of moral8regulation.Part two: situations and reasons of the present interest relationships.Based on the conclusion in the first part, situations and reasons of thepresent interest relationships are analysed. On the macrolevel, the sixinterest relationships and their manifestations are surveyed. And the causal analysis is mainly about the complexity of economicconstitution, multiplicity of interest subjects, variation of distribution forms, and the existence of ethnic diversification.Part three: the insistence on the dialectics of the theory that ethics canregulate interest relationships. From the angle of Marxist philosophy, materialistic and dialectical analysis is made of the relation between moralregulation, that is, righteousness, and interest relationships, that is , profit.Briefly speaking, the dialectics is the unification of restriction andmaintenance, inspiration and inhibition, and coordination andreconstruction.Part four: the orientation of the moral regulation of interest relationships.Considering the varied values, we should adopt collectivism as ourorientation to regulate interest relationships by ethics. This part is devote tothe connotation of collectivism, situations and reasons of multiple values, the necessity of insisting on collectivism, and questions that we should payattention to when we adopt collective orientation in market economy.
