On The Value Of Traditional Culture On Modern Chinese Life

Chinese traditional culture exists in every fields of our modern life. As a hereditary factor of culture, it has dual effect: active or passive effect. Doing research on its active effect is of great importance. From the point of view of modern life, the study on traditional culture becomes more significant. In some sense, this problem concerns whether the traditional culture is able to exist or not.The research is based on both real inspecting and theoretical thinking. It provides viewpoint from cultural philosophy. By the means of analyzing the reasonable value of Chinese traditional culture and probing the practical way, the author tries to solve how to keep the continuation and development of the traditional culture in contemporary life, and to build our modem life as well.The article consists of three parts: In part I, from the point of view of cultural philosophy, we get a perspective of culture and life. We build philosophic basis of modern value of the traditional culture by inspecting culture and life, traditional culture and life, and traditional culture and modem life. In part II, We specifically expound the practical value of the traditional culture. In spiritual life, it has concordant value; in economic life, it has dynamic value; in spiritual life, it has resource value, and in daily life, it has ideal guidance value. In part III, We probe the factors and the way to realize the value of modern life of Chinese traditional culture. The article expounds the different practical manners to realize the value, during we cultivate our cultural conscious and realize transformation of the traditional culture.
