Marguerite Duras(1914-----1996) was one of the mostcharming and characterful women-writers of the 20th century. Love is the main subject of her works. Due to the personal experience, her texts often focused on love affairs in the foreign countries. From the three groups of relative categories: men, women; love, sex; the orient, the Occident, the author analysts the works of Duras.Through feminized men, Duras disillusioned the myth of manliness. She described the active women to resist the existing rules, to control their own bodies and manifested women's self power. Her texts also emphasized the gulf between the two sexes that can't be covered by conversation, and the separation of love and sex, which led to the traditional Romantic sex discourse to give place to the Modern liberal sex discourse. By analyzing the foreign love affairs, the author discovers the marginal roles of foreign women and men in the love affaires, who served as the Other and the frame of reference to the Occident.
