Nowadays, the ecological crisis is a worldwide issue of the utmost concern. To solve this problem, political, economic, legal, technical methods have been used. The ecological morals education is a counterpart to the ecological crisis from another point of view. It exerts a systemic influence of ecological morals to people in a organized and planned way. It aims at making people follow the basic principle and the standard of the ecological morals behavior among the ecological activity and perform the duty of safeguarding the ecological balance consciously.There is abundant ecological morals intelligence in the profound, ideological system of traditional culture of China. It is very meaningful to develop contemporary ecological moral education idea and construct scientific ecological morals education system. It is also significant to strengthen the ecological moral education nowadays and improve people's ecological morals consciousness. So we should excavate this historical and cultural legacy and put it in order to save the fragile living space.This thesis is divided into four parts to comb the ecological moral education idea in Confucianism and Taoism which form the mainstream of traditional culture in China:In the first part, the distinguishes between Confucianism and Taoist on the ecological moral education theoretical foundation, such as ecology cognitive, ecology natural view and ecological morals values have been analyzed.The second part discusses the notion such as "benevolence", "justice", "ethics", "morals". The similarities and differences in content of ecological moral education idea between Confucianism and Taoist have been demonstrated.In the third part, the ecological moral education methodology between similarities and differences have been discussed.The fourth part summarizes the modern value of ecological moral education theories of Confucianism and Taoist.
