Ding Shan-de Piano Music Research

This essay's study of Mr. Ding Shan-de's works summarizes and then specializes; theorizes and then practisizes.Firstly, this essay discusses Mr. Ding's general music creating thinking principles, analyzes and studies his creating characteristics and techniques in order to make us further know the organic combination of his national music styles and his western creating techniques and his achievements on exploring nationalizing.Secondly, this essay discusses the common characteristics of his playing styles of his works, emphasizing the analyzing and handling elements of playing such as expressions, playing techniques, dynamics, tone colours. It tries to master Mr. Ding's basic playing styles of his piano pieces. Within these discussions, some of them are my understanding viewpoints of handling methods.Thirdly, this essay, in the aspects of teaching and playing, analyzes in detail and studies Mr. Ding's several piano solos. It involves creating backgrounds, purposes, construction and music handling. It aims to offer some references and help to me myself and others_on playing and teaching.Finally, in the conclusion, this essay talks about the writing purpose of this essay and also my ideas on piano nationalizing and national music pianolizing. Some achievements have already been made on the piano music career in our country, but not to be denied, the road on piano nationalizing and national music pianolizing is still so far. We need more composers like Ding Shan-de, who owns super piano playing techniques and advanced composing techniques theories as well as deeply planting in our national land.This essay's study on Mr. Ding Shan-de's music, on one hand, is to further study and recognize the beauty of his works and values and absorb in his excellent creating techniques. On the other hand, it enlarges its national music culture. Mr. Ding's spirit not only inspires us but also gives us newer viewpoints and practicing experiences. We should earnestly think and conclude so as to find our music developing roads fitting our national conditions.
