| We always ignore the features of Chinese language and Chinese character when we teach them to foreigners. The theories adopted in teaching Chinese is mainly from research of English and they are not very suitable to Chinese. We consider Chinese traditional approach of teaching Chinese is valuable to teaching Chinese as second language. We generalize these experiences as two targets, one principles, and three methods. Two targets: goal of literacy and goal of writings. One principles: every grammatical units in close connection, including character, phrase, sentence and paragraph. Three methods: the method of centralizing new characters to learn; the method of teaching in crambo and the method of chanting. We also consider the rebuild is valuable on the basic of Chinese traditional approach of teaching Chinese. |
