Southern Frontier Dynasty Poem

The poetry about frontier fortress was regarded as the result of Sheng Tang Dynasty in the previous literary history. Not only in Tang Dynasty, but after Han Dynasty, there are many poesies about frontier fortress that depict the war against the foreign, scenery about frontier, etc. In fact, there is a development of long period.In my thesis, I will analyses the production fact of the poetry about frontier fortress ,the traits of the art of it and the status in the whole history of the poetry about frontier fortress according the poetry bout frontier fortress in South Dynasty. After the research, we will find most of the poetry bout frontier fortress in South Dynasty in the form of YueFu poetry. It is obvious that they are the imitation of the poetry of same name in Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty and inherit the poetry in that period. Although the poetry about frontier fortress in South Dynasty has the trait of gentleness, there are many verses that represent the bravery and provide the experience for the poetry production in Sheng Tang Dynasty. Some subject matter, such as the dedication to the motherland, the women's complaint, the missing of homeland .etc, appear in the poetry about frontier fortress in South Dynasty that has the contribution to leading the poetry about frontier fortress in Sheng Tang Dynasty. But the poetry about frontier fortress in South Dynasty has some shortcomings in the initial stages. First, the quantity of this poetry is small and takes up the low status and the writers are only some famous ones. Second the poetry about frontier fortress in South Dynasty that is like ones in Sheng Tang Dynasty wholly is very small except some poetry which depict the scenery of frontier. In conclusion, the poetry about frontier fortress in South Dynasty is the rudiment of the poetry about frontier fortress the poetry about frontier fortress and its especial contribution is to establish the solid foundation for Sheng Tang Dynasty.
