When peasant uprisings broke out in succession throughout Xinjiang in 1864,Khokand of Central Asia neighbouring Xinjiang seized the chance,and sent Yakub-beg to invade Xinjiang.Three years later,Yakub-beg built the Jete-shahr Regime.In order to understand the regime wholly,the thesis is aimed to narrate and analyze the regime systemcomprehensively and systematically. The thesis is divided into three parts--theforeword,the main body and the conclusion.FirstIy,the great uprising of Xinjiang,the invision of Yakub-beg,the process of building the Jete-shahr Regime will be briefly narrated in the main body.Secondly,the system of the regime will be recounted and analyzed.The thesis holds that the administration system was based on the System of Military Feoff.The extent of feoff was the extent of administration.As for the administration of justicejslamic code became the conduct standard for the whole society,which was made by Yakub-beg.At the same time, the religious courts were built,and Islamic clergy were incorporated into the judicature system of the regime.Additionally through tight police system and the rule of pass,Yakub-beg strengthened his control over people of different races.When it comes to finance and tax systems,Yakub-beg set up to multitude of items for exorbitant taxes and levies,and brought it into the warfare system for the sake of meeting the needs of bellicosity.As far as the military system was concerned,in order to maintain its regime,the military had enjoyed a special position.Thirdly, the characteristics of Jete-shahr Regime and its system are analyzed.Finally,the thesis will simply narrate that the military of Qing Dynasty recovered Xinjiang and evaluate the death of Jete-shahr Regime as well as its effects.
