On The New Village Culture

Xinzhai Stage has become a hot topic in academic circle in recent years.Being indebted to the fruits harvested by the former and present authorities,the author has brought forward that the Xinzhai stage was an archaeological culture with its own genealogy.Then this dissertation discussed such aspects about Xinzhai culture as stratigraply,culture contents,branch area, culture character,the relations between the Xinzhai culture and the origin of civilizations and etc.In recent years,there are some important discoveries in Xinzhai relics and Huadi Zui ruins.Based on the excavations,the culture itself can be divided into continuous stages.The relative age of the culture is later than the Third-stage Wangwan culture and earlier than Elitou culture .The absolute age is BC2050_BC1900.With the systemic analyses about the brief reports of the Third-Stage Wangwan culture and the First-stage Elitou culture .The author concluded that the branch area of the culture is still in the west of He Nan Province. The east boundary is about Jingguang railroad.The north line of demarcation is Yellow River.The west line is about Luoyang city,In the south it can reach Yancheng,Lushan,Ye counties.At last through the analyses of the Xinzhai culture contents ,the author draw a conclusion that the character of the Xinzhai culture is Xia culture.It is very useful to research on the origin of civilizations .
