During the times of Ming dynasty replaced by Qing dynasty, the Han community in Liaodong peninsula constituted several armymen groups which could determine the political situation. The group had these characteristics: they were organized by ethnicity and absolutely loyal to the family; they were brave in combats; they were unconscientious about the value of loyalty to Han nation or Ming dynasty; they rendered their service to Ming government or Houjin (Qing) government in many times. For these reasons, both Ming government and Houjin (Qing) government realized that they have to collaborate with these armymen groups to control Liaodong peninsula.Liu Xingzuo's group was one of the most famous armymen groups. At first, Liu's group served Houjin government and got into the power center. But, for the same reason, Liu's group were involved in internal conflict of Houjin government and defeated by their political enemies. Then, Liu's group had to betray Houjin government and surrendered to Yuan Chonghuan who was the commander of Ming army. At last, Liu Xingzuo died in a battle against Houjin army. As historical researchers, if we comprehend the political attitude and value outlook of Liu's group, we can understand the political situation of Liaodong peninsula during the times of Ming dynasty replaced by Qing dynasty. In addition, it is good for studying the standpoint of Lidynasty in Korea during the special moment.
