| The idea of mural is getting more and more indistinct and marginalized in the process of its enlargement and enrichment in social development. The professional education of the major of mural confronts a very complex situation that other art specialties will never meet, and, methodologically, it often attends to one thing and loses another during the concrete teaching course. It is already more than twenty years since the foundation of Fresco department in CAFA, and providing quite a number of excellent experts in the field of fresco painting, our department explores a distinguished way of mural painting education that is characterized by its national specialty. But it is a critical problem desired solution in front of us to clear up the concept, definitude our target and comb the teaching process timely, so that we can get ready for further development of professional education of mural painting.The opinions of major teachers in our department is considered, and the dissertation is based on the analysis of questionnaire about the sharpen problems answered by dozens of students and graduate students of Fresco Department. It is discussed here that how to consummate the specialty and establish our own feature, and offers a plan of reconstruction, which includes reinforcing the function of foundational teaching and researching group and refining the working details. It provides five suggestions: to transfer the accent from practical feeling to thought construction, to strengthen the course and practice of decoration and design, to enhance the course of architecture, to research the public aesthetics and to carry on public art produce and social practice training.The text is ended with the interview with professional teachers in Fresco Department (briefly) and the questionnaire to the students for reference. |
