Tang Dynasty County Liaozuo Dynasty

The administration system for County district in Tang Dynasty is an important problem for both Tang period and the political system history. But the research of County is seldom discussed in academic circles for a long time. Many scholars have ranged the discussion mainly on the establishment and grades of County district or the head of County. There are few who put their eyes on the assistants of head.This thesis regards the Deputy Governor,the Zhu Bu and the County Wei as the research objects namely and studies their establishment, job description, possible candidate and way of promotion systematically .Then we discuss their social positions and influences on the administrative programme in County. The thesis is divided into four chapters:Chapter â…  Introduction: In this part introduce the reason why I choose this topic and key point of researchment.Then give a brief introduction of academic history in this field.'Chapter â…¡ :The Deputy Governor is an important assistant in County of Tang Dynasty. Its establishment is more stable in first half period than in second period,which cause the descend of its social position in County. Its functions and powers of this position involve in subscribing documents and dealing with affairs and lawsuits in County. At times The Deputy Governor is appointed other tasks and go on errands. This makes the positive and negative influence on the administration in County. The appointment and promotion of the Deputy Governor has its own characteristics. Most of them can have lucky to be appointed to investigating censors.Chapter â…¢: The ZhuBu in County in T'ang Dynasty is also an important official position of the administration system for County district in Tang Dynasty.The establishment of ZhuBu in County is also more stable in former period than in latter period . It has the functions of GouJian, JianYin and partially judicatory etc. The ZhuBu in County has many parentages, including civil examinations,family status and outpost officers .The future promotion has its own characteristics.Most of the ZhuBu in T'ang Dynasty County can be appointed to a more important official in County, the advising and impeaching officials and investigating censors etc.Chapter â…£: The Wei in County is another important assistant in Tang County.It has the functions of arresting robbers and thieves, being a judge or dealing with affairs and lawsuits in County,ect. Sometimes the Wei in County is also appointed other tasks and go on errands.And he always takes the part-time job of Ji-xian Yuan ,the Bureau of Historiography and Hong-wen Guan. Then the possible candidate of Wei include primarily the men who come from civil examinations and the officials who are banished or resigned,ect. The promotion has its characteristics. The officials who move to the advising and impeaching officials, investigating censors and three central ministries are more than othersFinally this thesis points out the system of assistants in County which include The Deputy Governor, the ZhuBu and the Wei has important effect on the later County class administration system in history of China.
